These worked pretty well last week on the East Branch.

Brown Drake Spinner

This is like a cross between the spinner and dun. The Brown Drake Spinners keep their wings upright as they drift down the stream. I didn't know this until last week!

I saw them in the trees and on my car so I got out the fly tying kit and made a 1/2 dozen and it worked day and night casting to rising fish and blind casting.

Hook:  12 2xl dry fly

Wings: Wood Duck

Rib: Copper Wire

Body: Mix of Ginger Rabbit, Dark Brown Rabbit and Natural Seal

Hackle: Golden Grizzly

Tail: Moose Body Hair

Very nicely tied, Leif.  If you fish them in the early morning, you might want to tie them spentwing;  they don't remain upright very long!
