Fly Fest 2018

29 December 2017 - 12:57 AM

(Copy and pasted from December 2017 issue of the "Castabout" newsletter of the CFFCM as it appeared in my email inbox today)

FlyFest 2018 Celebrating 13 Years!

Join fly tyers and enthusiasts from near and far for this day of all things related to flytying. In our 13th year, the event will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 9am-4pm in the Wulff gallery. Admission is $5.00. Sponsored by Catskill Flies of Roscoe, FlyFest breaks up the winter season and marks the re-opening of CFFCM from our winter break. This will be the first event of the 2018 season.

This annual gathering promotes the art of fly tying and sharing this craft with others. The day offers an opportunity to tie flies with a group and gear up for the up-coming season. Nothing formal, it’s a gathering of tyers from all over, both inside and outside of the immediate area. It is a chance to tie, socialize and enjoy the company of others. For those needing an outing after being cooped up in the house, this is a sure cure for the winter doldrums.

Come join us - this event is open to the public and admission is $5.00. Tyers should contact coordinator Rick Fischer at fischington@hotmail.com, any other inquiries can be emailed to CFFCM at office@cffcm.com and Catskill Flies can be reached at flyshop@catskillflies.com or call 607-498-6146.

If you'd like, leave a post here to indicate whether you would be interested in attending Fly Fest. There is no obligation, we just like to know how many tables and chairs to have available!

As always, it's a great time, spent with a bunch of like minded individuals!

Thanks, Rick icon_e_biggrin.gif
